To strictly implement safety production laws and regulations, strengthen the company's emergency response capabilities, and prevent and resolve fire and explosion safety risks, our company conducted a special fire and explosion emergency plan drill at 15:00 on the afternoon of July 3.
This drill closely followed actual operational scenarios and effectively tested the company's employees' response speed and collaborative handling capabilities.
This drill simulated an emergency situation: an electrical short circuit in Warehouse 207 triggered an open flame, quickly igniting the petroleum coke stored inside. Due to high temperatures, petroleum coke released a large amount of combustible gas. When the gas concentration reached the explosion limit, it encountered an open flame and triggered an explosion, damaging the warehouse structure and injuring a nearby worker.
After a danger occurred, on-site personnel immediately reported to the on-site supervisor. Upon learning of the situation, the main person in charge quickly arrived at the scene, immediately activated the fire and explosion emergency plan, and coordinated personnel evacuation, search and rescue for the injured, and firefighting on site.
With orderly cooperation and efficient handling by all personnel, the injured were successfully rescued and promptly sent to the hospital for treatment. All personnel in the Science and Technology Building and Testing Building were safely evacuated, and the remaining fire in Warehouse 207 was completely extinguished. This simulated emergency situation was successfully resolved.
Safety is no small matter; prevent problems before they happen. This special emergency drill further standardized the company's fire and explosion emergency response procedures, enhancing all employees' fire safety awareness, self-rescue and mutual rescue abilities, and emergency avoidance literacy.
